=== Shareware ===

This software is SHAREWARE and may be freely
distributed provided that no files are modified.
There are no functional limitations. Registration
is $105 for email delivery and includes.

=== Description ===

WSC4D is a serial communications library which can
be used with any version of Borland Delphi
running under Windows 95/98/Me, Windows NT/2000,
or Windows 3.1 (16-bit ONLY).

ASCII, XMODEM, and YMODEM protocols are also
included as well as a good selection of example
programs.

=== Installation ===

Run the WISE installation program SETUP.EXE which
will install all WSC4D files, including copying
WSC16.DLL and WSC32.DLL to your Windows directory,
C:\WINDOWS for Windows 3.1/95/98/Me or C:\WINNT
for Windows NT/2000.

WSC4D is configured for 32-bit Delphi. To compile
using 16-bit Delphi 1, first run READY16.BAT or
READY16NT.BAT (Win NT/2000).

No Windows system files are modified.

Documentation will be found in the DOCS directory
after running the SETUP installation program.

For more information, refer to the following manuals
each in 3 formats (*.TXT, *.DOC, and *.HTM):

(1) WSC4D Programmer's Manual

  Covers Delphi language issues such as
  compiling and examples.

  See WSC_4D.DOC, WSC_4D.HTM, or WSC_4D.TXT.

  Covers theory of operation, application notes,
  XMODEM, YMODEM, modem operations, and licensing.

=== Quick Start ===

(1) Unzip WSC4D31.ZIP into an empty directory.
(2) Run SETUP (WISE Installation file).
(3) Refer to the Programmer's Manual (WSC_4D)
    for compiler information, then compile and run
    VER_PRJ to test your installation.
