Use with caution. .RE .PP \fBrtlinux\fP is a SysV compatible script used to install, remove, or get status information for either/both RTLinux and the user's module(s). .PP \fBrtlinux\fP is a tool that is used to insert, remove, and obtain status information about both the RTLinux modules and the user's module or modules according to the options specified in the command line. If no user modules are listed, then only RTLinux modules are operated upon. .PP The script file \fBrtlinux\fP inserts the modules into kernel space if \fBstart\fR is specified as an option. The script then checks whether the module was inserted based on the output of the \fBlsmod(8)\fP command. .PP The script file \fBrtlinux\fP will remove all the specified modules from the kernel if the \fBstop\fR option is specified as an option. The script checks to make sure that the modules were suc- cessfully removed based on the output of the lsmod com- mand. .PP The script file will report whether or not the modules are inserted in the kernel if the \fBstatus\fR option is specified. This information is based on the output of the \fBlsmod(8)\fP command. .PP The optional list, \fBuser_modules\fR, is a space separated list of the user's modules, without the \fI.o\fP extension. By default, the script assumes that they end with an \fB.o\fP extension. .SH "EXAMPLES" .PP The following example demonstrates a typical usage of rtlinux. It inserts the user's modules banshee.o and beenshee.o along with the RTLinux kernel: .PP \fBrtlinux start banshee beenshee\fP .SH "NOTES" .PP This script requires the \fBrtl-config(1)\fP script to be in its path, in order to obtain the RTLinux module information .SH "AUTHOR" .PP Edgar F. Hilton (\fIefhilton@fsmlabs.com (link to URL mailto:efhilton@fsmlabs.com) \fR) .SH "SEE ALSO" \fIrtl-config(1) (link to URL rtl-config.1.html) \fR, insmod(8), rmmod(8), lsmod(8) .PP \(co2001 FSMLabs Inc. .PP All rights reserved. ...\" created by instant / docbook-to-man, Thu 26 Jul 2001, 11:20
