This applet can execute a cross-fade between any identically sized GIF or 
JPG images.

NECESSARY FILES.

Apart from image files to fade, and an optional overlay image, the 
following 3 ".class" files must be uploaded: 

AnFade.class
Lware.class
anfy.class

Plus, AnFade.jar for speedy loading on recent browsers.

INSTRUCTIONS.

The following instructions describe how to change parameters:

The images (GIF and/or JPG) can be of any size, but all image dimensions must
be identical.

Attempting to change the credits parameter will disable the applet.
To activate the reg parameters read the shareware registration notes.
In the "regcode" parameter, place the registration code you
purchased from the author. If the code is correct and the applet is run from
the registered domain name, you can use "link" parameters to link to a URL
when the applet is "clicked".

If you set "regnewframe" to "YES", you can specify a specific frame location
for the reglink:

"_blank"  : To load the link in a new blank unnamed browser window.
"_self"   : To load the link into the same window the applet occupies.
"_parent" : To load the link into the immediate FRAMESET parent.
"_top"    : To load the link into the top body of the window.

You can also set a custom frame name, such as "myframe1".

With the "overimg" parameter you can specify the name of an image that will
be painted over the applet. The best options are transparent GIF images.
NOTE: Animated GIF images are supported, but will be displayed as animated
only on latest browsers (Netscape 4 and Explorer 4 or newer).
With "overimgX" and "overimgY" you can center the image over the applet area.

Applet size is determined by "res": "res=1" shows the graphic at natural size,
"res=2" shows it at double size, etc.

It is important to update the width and height tags, otherwise the applet will
not display properly on browsers.

The number of images to have in the crossfading slideshow is unlimited, but
the minimum is 2.

If you want to fade between just 2 images, type:

Repeat the code for each image. 

You can change the displayed message for each image in the "statusmsg" 
code. "Statusmsg1" is the message displayed with the first image,
"statusmsg2" the second image, etc.

When you purchase and register the applet, the "link1","link2", etc.
parameters will be enabled and this applet can become a crossfade banner as
follows:

You can place a URL link related to each image.

The speed parameter determines the speed of fade between images. This value
determines the number of frame as 256/speed. A good value is 8, which gives
you 32 frames. This has shown to be the optimum resolution for 65000 colour
displays, and shows quite fast. Values under 8 are applicable for a 24bit
video mode (16 million colors), but show the images slower.

The pause, in milliseconds, determines the "hold" time for images between
the fades.

You can optionally enable the "progressivefade" option, setting it to "YES".
This will fade the image pixels not at same time, but with some nice steps.
