(3.0r0)被登記到<SAMP>stable</SAMP>目錄（符號(hào)鏈接指向<SAMP>Woody</SAMP>目錄）：

<H3>2.1.6 <SAMP>frozen</SAMP>發(fā)行版</H3>
<P>當(dāng)<SAMP>testing</SAMP>發(fā)行版足夠成熟了，它成為frozen發(fā)行版，表示這個(gè)版本不再加入新代碼，只進(jìn)行除錯(cuò)工作。同時(shí)，<SAMP>dists</SAMP>目錄中會(huì)建立新的testing發(fā)行版目錄樹，并命名新的版本代號(hào)。frozen發(fā)行版再經(jīng)過幾個(gè)月的測(cè)試、更新、再凍結(jié)也稱之為“循環(huán)測(cè)試”。（新近的<SAMP>woody</SAMP>發(fā)布進(jìn)程沒有創(chuàng)建<SAMP>frozen</SAMP>符號(hào)鏈接，所以<SAMP>frozen</SAMP>并不算發(fā)行版，僅僅是<SAMP>testing</SAMP>發(fā)行版的一個(gè)開發(fā)階段。） 

<P>我們將frozen發(fā)行版中可能延遲軟件包或整個(gè)版本發(fā)布的錯(cuò)誤都記錄在案，一但錯(cuò)誤總數(shù)低于可接受的最大值，frozen發(fā)行版就晉升成stable，新版本發(fā)布了，先前發(fā)布的版本成為過期版（obsolete）（并被移于相應(yīng)的目錄）。

<H3>2.1.7 Debian發(fā)布版代號(hào)</H3>
<P>存在于<SAMP>dists</SAMP>目錄下的物理目錄名，例如<SAMP>Woody</SAMP>和<SAMP>Sarge</SAMP>，就是“版本代號(hào)（codenames）”。當(dāng)某個(gè)Debian發(fā)行版處于開發(fā)階段，它并沒有版本號(hào)，取而代之的是版本代號(hào)。使用版本代號(hào)的目的在于簡(jiǎn)化建立Debian發(fā)行版鏡像的工作（如果真實(shí)目錄例如<SAMP>unstable</SAMP>突然改名為<SAMP>stable</SAMP>，許多文件都沒必要再次下載）。 

<P>當(dāng)前，<SAMP>stable</SAMP>是一個(gè)指向<SAMP>Woody</SAMP>的符號(hào)鏈接，<SAMP>testing</SAMP>是指向<SAMP>Sarge</SAMP>的符號(hào)鏈接。也就是說<SAMP>Woody</SAMP>是當(dāng)前的stable發(fā)行版，<SAMP>Sarge</SAMP>是當(dāng)前的testing發(fā)行版。 

<P><SAMP>unstable</SAMP>發(fā)行版是指向<SAMP>sid</SAMP>的永久符號(hào)鏈接，即unstable發(fā)行版總稱為<SAMP>sid</SAMP>。

<P>已使用過的發(fā)行版代號(hào)有：<SAMP>buzz</SAMP> for release 1.1，<SAMP>rex</SAMP> for release 
1.2，<SAMP>bo</SAMP> for releases 1.3.x，<SAMP>hamm</SAMP> for release 
2.0，<SAMP>slink</SAMP> for release 2.1和<SAMP>potato</SAMP> for release 2.2。
