MID

usage: mid [d]

    where [d] is a 0-based logical drive number; 0 = A:, 1 = B:, etc.

Display and (optionally) modifiy the drive's Serial Number or Volume
Label.

Sample Ouput:

    Drive D:

    Media ID

    File System:        FAT16
    Serial Number:      12345678
    Volume Label:       DISK2_VOL2

    Change? (s,v) _

Entering 's' will ask for a new serial number, 'v' a new volume label.
Any other key will abort. There will be a confirmation before the data
is written to the disk (only a 'y' will confirm).

Notes:

This program will work on all Microsoft platforms, with the exception
that the volume label is not changed under Windows NT (it can be if
the source file WINNT\GETDISK.C in the DISKLIB library is modified).

The volume label is changed in the BOOT SECTOR, not in the ROOT
DIRECTORY.
