One set of twoAMD Am29F040 FLASH is socketed (sockets XU1 and XU2) and contains Motorola'sOpen Firmware or, on later revisions, Motorola's PPC1-Bug.  The other set of E28f400 FLASH is soldered in.  The VxWorks boot kernel resides in the soldered FLASH.
