?? re data flash program.txt

Russ,
oops, I never got back to you on this one, sorry.
I did this to initialize the reset-counter to 20 (just a number arbirarily
chosen) when the program gets downloaded initially.
Since the main program configures one page as flash data memory, the address
07c00h will appear at 00400h when in UAM mode. This is where I declared the
counter in XData in the "C" program. It does not need a label in the
assembly language file to do this mapping, especially since the addresses
are different.
best regards,
Gebhard

Gebhard,
I can't figure out the purpose the file counter.a51
;
CSEG AT 07C00H ; will be mapped to Data memory address
0x400
; when 1 k is configured as data memory
; (Y5 version)
DB 20 ; start with 20
END
I noticed the map file listed some addresses at 7C00H and I wondered why.
After looking at this file, I am still wondering. You set apart this
address but it doesn't even have a label. So what is the purpose?
Thanks,
Russ
