It provides an I2C master port that can be usedto connect to the other OAP I2C modules, in situations when there's no I2C header available on the mainboard. This module is not required, therefore, on mainboards such as the VIA EPIA M, which has its own dedicated I2C interface that's supported by the Linux kernel.This circuit was designed specifically to work with the I2C Linux kernel driveri2c-philips-par, by Simon G.
