This site contains a complete biography of Wyatt Earp. It is a labor of love.
The info is organized by links; the early years, the Tombstone Aftermath,
Family, Earp Associates. I like that these links are done with Icons rather
than just a table of contents. The icons are scattered which give one the sense that
one should browse rather than just go down a list. I liked the little animated figure
of the gunslinger. It enlivens the page some, but it is just an accent, not gaudy.
I think the small animation works well with the choice of background colors. The artist chose
brown on brown. I like the choice as it fits with the wild west. It also blends
well the old photos of Earp. I like the overall layout of the page. Visitors first see
the photos of Earp, then read the teaser paragraph, which leads them to the icon links.
7. http://www.wineskinny.com/wineflights.htm
a) hard to get to from the home page I stumbled onto it.
b) White background, all the same font, boring.
c) The rest is just a list of advertisments, without much
info. Like,Where do these flights go?
d) Could use different arrangement of links rather than just
a list. Maybe a map of the USA with links in proper states.
e) The site could use more atmosphere, airplane graphics, pictures of people
having fun.

The MSN search engine first site is fine but the next three are all MSN related.
It seems as though they are trying to keep you in there little sphere. The fifth
site is the same as the first Yahoo site. This MSN search yeilded 4 sites called Featured,
3 sites called Sponsered, then the rest are called web directory. I assume that
the featured sites are somehow MSN related, and the sponsered sites are paid for.
So while the these are worth a look, a searcher might want to go straight to the
Web directory listings.
The Yahoo search was similar both searches brought up this ad for a magnifying glass
in their first five. The first site is related to Yahoo. the third is the ad. the fourth
is an obscure site of a guy who collects stamps of Mathmaticians. The fifth site matches
the tenth site on MSN.
The google search was by far superior. There was no sense of them trying to keep me in there
own set of sites, or that they were steering me to their advertisers. All five sites seemed to be excellent
sites for a stamp collector.
