<h3><a name="Digital_I/O"> Digital I/O </a></h3>
<p>
<strong>Max Ports:</strong> 1 8-bit bi-directional port with programmable direction bit by bit
<p>
Digital I/O port requires direction to be set with <tt><a href="manual_DscDIOSetConfig.html" class='printable' title ="DscDIOSetConfig">dscDIOSetConfig</a>()</tt> before use.
<p>
The configuration byte has the following format:

Dir 7 - 0 0 = input, 1 = output<p><h3><a name="Serial_Ports"> Serial Ports </a></h3>
<p>
8 serial ports with RS-232, RS-422, and/or RS-485 capability, depending on the model.
<p>
Serial ports have jumper-configured protocols, base addresses and IRQ levels. See the board's user manual for information on serial port configuration.
<p>
Serial ports on Emerald-MM-8 are not supported by Universal Driver.
