ARM ADS Processor Description Files
                       ===================================


This directory contains updated processor and board description files, suitable
for use with ADS 1.1 and 1.2. By installing these files you will gain enhanced
visibility of your processor and board in the AXD registers window.

The files that need to be installed are:
  armperip.dtd   XML document type definitions
  armperip.xml   descriptions for ARM processors
  armboard.xml   descriptions for ARM boards

Two copies of each file are provided on the CD, with different line-endings:
  \ads\          DOS line-endings
  \unix\ads\     Unix line-endings


Windows Users
=============
The Multi-ICE Windows installer automatically updates the processor and board
description files in ADS 1.1 and 1.2. Existing copies of these files in the
ADS bin directory are renamed with a .bak extension.

You can choose not to install these files by unticking the 'Update ADS
Processor Definitions' component in the installer.

To manually install these files, copy them from the \ads directory on the CD
into your ADS bin directory.


Unix Users
==========
The Unix installer does not update the processor and board description files in
ADS 1.1 and 1.2. To manually install these files, copy them from the /unix/ads/
directory on the CD into your ADS bin directory.
