Ask for invitation letter (u should provide a template)

Prepare other documents for visa application (differs from country to country)
(documents might include: conf registration receipt, airplane ticket, 
hotel booking receipt, financial document, passport of coz)

Take the airplane and enjoy your journey, :)

If you want to travel after the conference, you need to collect enough 
information before you leave.
