從目前的DM方法來看, 顯然是機器學習, 數據庫, 統計學
的結合. DM的叫法是從機器學習擴展而來的, 但現已包括
很多統計學習方法.
然而, 在此之前,統計學也一直在做類似的東西, 只不過沒
叫這個名字而已. 現在是雙方互相"發現"的過程.
