Display the new directory name if the name supplied isinvalid..PPReasonable care is taken to create a valid MSDOS directory name.  If aninvalid name is specified,.I mmdwill change the name (and display the new name if the verbose mode isset)..PPAn error occurs if the directory already exists..PPMSDOS subdirectory names are supported with either the '/' or '\e'separator.
