Drivers released are applicable to PCMCIA/CitiROM and CardBus/CitiROM card.
Following procedures show how to install the PCMCIA/CitiROM card into your 
Windows95/98 system by using the manufacturer support driver.  
The following installation procedures apply to all of the devices in 
use like CD-ROM, HDD, RHD, Floppy, CD-Recordable, PD Drive and etc..

For first time installation--
1.  Bootup the Windows95 system.
2.  Insert the PCMCIA/CitiROM card into the PCMCIA slot.
3.  Windows95 recognize the insertion and send the audiable happy beeps.
4.  In Windows 95 original release and windows 95 Rev A:
      A menu selection for "Default Driver" or " Driver From Manufacturer" shall
	  comes up.
      Select the "Driver From Manufacturer".
    In Windows 95 Rev B( OSR2 ):
	  A "Standard ESDI/IDE Controller" found message shall pop up.  
	  The system shall ask you to update the driver.
6.  Insert the distribution diskette in A:.
7.  Click on "Next".  Click "Other Location".
8.  Enter the full path of the driver. For example: "A:\window95".
	Click OK.
9.  Click "Finish" and click "OK".
10. Re-enter the full path of the driver.  For example: "A:\window95".
11. Click "OK" to complete the installation process.
10. The system will ask you to re-boot.  Keep everything
    the same as before, remove the floppy and re-boot.
11. For CD-ROM and Floppy users, a drive icon shall show up in the
    "MyComputer" folder and is ready to use.
    For HDD users, please consult HARDISK.TXT to prepare the HDD if it is
	  a brand-new drive.  
	If the HDD is pre-partitioned as DOS FAT16 or FAT32 partitions,
	  one or more drive icons should be displayed in the "MyComputer"
	  folder and is/are ready to be formatted.
	  Consult HARDISK.TXT to prepare the HDD.
	If the HDD is formatted as DOS FAT16 or FAT32 file systems, 
	  one or more drive icons should be displayed in the "MyComputer"
	  folder and is/are ready to use.
    
    

How to install the Manufacturer driver if you already installed the 
	 Microsoft default driver before?

0.   Make sure the CitiROM card is not inserted.  If so, stop and eject it
	 before continuing.
1.   Go to "System", "Control Panel", "Device Manager", 
	 "Hard Disk Controller".  
2.   Insert the CitiROM card.  A new entry for the CitiROM card should pop up.
     It should be listed as either "Standard IDE/ESDI Controller"
     if using the Windows 95 default driver or as "Shining PMIDE-ASC 
	 Controller".  
3.   Select the "Property", "Driver" Tab.
4.   Select the "Update Driver" to re-new the driver and registry information.
5.   Insert the driver diskette containing the STIDE95.MPD and PCMIDE95.INF
     files.
6.   Select the "YES" when Win95 OSR2 prompted for recommended searching
     for driver installed or not.
7.   Select "Other Location" and enter the "A:\win95" as the directory path
     for the new driver should Win95 can not find the driver information.
8.   Follow the Win95 procedures to complet the whole installation.

Prepare the new HDD's or re-partiton/re-format the HDD --

1.  New drive--  Setup the PCMCIA/CitiDISK kit with the HDD installed.
	  No drive icon shows up in "My Computer".  That's normal.  
	  Go to "My Computer", "Control Panel", "Device Manager", "Disk drives".
	  Normally, more than two entries should be displayed.  One is for 
	  floppy drive, one for the internal bootup C: drive.  However, if you
	  have more than just the C: drive installed in your system, you should
	  have one more entries than total number of the "internal hdds" +
	  "total number of the floppy drives".  Find the drive just inserted by
	  accessing each drive's "Setting".  Drive just be recognized should
	  not have "drive letter" assigned to it.  Once you find it, set the
	  "int 13" option to "selected".  Windows95 will then ask you to re-boot
	  the system.  Do so and do not remove the CitiDISK + drive setup.

	  Go to any "DOS Prompt" after the second reboot. 
	  Type in "STFDISK2" partition utility to partition the drive.  
	  In the Windows 95 Rev B, the system will query for "Large Disk 
	  Support..".  Say "YES" to allow "FAT32" file system support or
	  "NO" for traditional multiple partitions support.


	  After the partition is done, Window95 will again ask you to
	  re-boot. Do so and find any "DOS" prompt to format the drive by
	  "format driveletter:".  The "driveletter" shall be the one 
	  displayed on the "My Computer" icon.

2. Re-partition the drive--  Setup the PCMCIA/CitiDISK kit with the HDD 
	  installed and powerup the system.  A drive letter is assigned 
	  in the "My Computer" icon.
	  Type in "STFDISK2" to invoke the DOS partition utility.  
	  Follow the procedure to re-partition the drive. 
	  Window95 shall ask you to re-boot.
	  Do so and go to any DOS prompt to "format driveletter:".
	  After the format, the drive is ready to use.
Note: When partition/format the HDD under the Windows95 environment,  do
	  not remove the whole CitiROM card and HDD setups before the process
	  is completed.

Note: If your hard disk size is larger than 2GB, you would have to
	  make two partitions: one for primary and one for extended.
	  FAT16 file system impose the 2GB limitation per partition and 8GB
		max per HDD.
	  FAT32 file system support single partition is drive size is smaller
	  than 8 GBytes.
	  FAT32 file system is only supported under Windows 95 Rev B and above in
		command prompt mode and regular windows mode.
      When FDISK HDD larger than 8GB as FAT32 file system, Win95B and Win98
		default driver do not recognize the HDD larger than 8GB.  "Update"
		the driver to be "manufacturer" driver to fix the problem.
      In Win95 Rev B, the FDISK.exe does not prompt correct size if HDD size
		is greater than 8GB due to the "DISKVSD.VXD"'s and "DISKTSD.VXD"'s 
		bugs.  A copy of files above from Window98 system are included to fix
		the problem.  Tests shown it's safe running both files on 
		Windows95 Rev B system.  Please copy both files onto 
		"C:\windows\system\iosubsys" directory together with the new version
		of "stide95.mpd".  Or, simply click on "update driver" button to
		renew the driver and allow "pcmide95.inf" to automatically update
		system file for you.  Finally, reboot the system to allow it to 
		be effective.  However, do not update both files for Windows95 RevA,
		due to kernel revision difference.



For IDE Floppy( LS120 ) user:
The device is supported by Windows95 Rev. A and Rev. B. The diskette is
treated as giant floppy drive.  No partition is allowed.

Note:  PCMIDE95.INF v3.0 updated for Windows95 Rev. B or OSR2 release
	   and manufacturer support driver.
