When I saw thegraphical installation of Red Hat 6.2, I started to wonder whether ornot I still had to maintain this guide since a lot of the new stuffthey have set up is much easier than it was when I first startedwriting this guide. Besides, it didn't seem like I was doing muchmaintenance anymore.</P><P>Right now I'm re-writing this introduction to fit the times, onceagain. I have checked this guide into CVS, a version control system,at SourceForge. Keeping up with the times is pretty hard, but it'salso rewarding to learn new tricks that you've never known aboutbefore. Take for example, my little guide on <AHREF="linux-ethernet.html">setting up Ethernet</A>; I used to have mynetwork set up in a messy way and when I read back over it, there wasalready a newer, more correct way to set things up. It took me a whileto get in the mood to update the page but when I did, I felt morecomfortable about it.</P><P>Still, right now, I feel like I have a lot of catching up to do inupdating these documents. Don't get me wrong; they're still of use toyou if you want to do these things, but they could be better updatedfor newer distributions.</P><P>If you have written to me lately, you might have noticed that Ididn't respond; I'm just not into it these days, I guess, since thesame questions about partitioning have been thrown at me for yearsnow.
