<p><font face="Arial" color="#000000"> 嚴重的精索靜脈曲張，有時會影響睪丸產生精子的能力。精索靜脈曲張對身體健康無大影響，結婚后大多可自愈。一旦患病，要注重休息，動靜結合，積極參加一些有益的文娛活動。病癥較為嚴重的，可能影響生育的患者，應到醫院進行手術治療，即精索靜脈高位結扎術。</font></p>
<div><font face="Arial" color="#000000">精索靜脈曲張是男性常見的泌尿疾病，亦為導致男性不育的主因。<br />
男性不孕癥的患者中，約20-40%罹患精索靜脈曲張；而65%精索靜脈曲張的患者，其精液品質亦較正常人差。主要是因血液的郁積使得睪丸溫度上升，而影響睪丸產生精子的能力。其他如血液郁積所造成的睪丸缺氧，與來自腎上腺的代謝物逆流入睪丸，及整個下視丘─腦下垂體─睪丸功能的改變，都可能是精索靜脈曲張造成不孕的原因。在接受外科手術治療后，70%的患者之精液品質可獲得改善，受孕率則提高至 40-50%。建議男性不孕癥的病患應接受具體檢查，確定是否罹患精索靜脈曲張，以便采取手術治療。<br />
