<DIV><FONT size=4> </FONT><FONT size=3>日前，教育部在北京召開了高中新課程實驗工作座談會，已經進入高中新課程實驗的省（自治區、直轄市）和明年準備進入實驗的省（自治區、直轄市）的教育廳廳長參加了會議。會議由教育部副部長陳小婭主持，教育部部長周濟參加座談會并講話。 </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=3> 周濟在講話中強調，推進素質教育，深化課程改革的本質是培養什么人和怎樣培養人的問題，是把沉重的人口負擔轉化成人力資源、建設創新型國家的必然要求。各地要進一步提高認識，把課程改革作為教育工作的主題和核心內容來抓。高中是青年學生世界觀、人生觀和價值觀形成的關鍵時期，也是拔尖創新人才培養的重要時期，要通過高中課程改革進行積極地探索。他要求教育部有關部門和相關省（自治區、直轄市）要在努力開展實踐探索的同時，加強理論研究，不斷總結經驗，做好經驗交流，幫助新進入新課程的省份少走彎路。周濟還強調，師范大學要積極地進行改革，主動參與到基礎教育課程改革中來，努力適應基礎教育課程改革的需要。 </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=3> 陳小婭在講話中指出，從2001年至今，通過邊研究、邊實驗、邊推進，繼承與創新并舉，統一性與多樣性結合，新課程的推進由點到面，取得了很大成績。學校發生著內在的、深刻的變化。先期進入高中新課程實驗的省（自治區、直轄市）積極探索，采取了一系列有效措施，很好地解決了教師不適應、教學組織、考試評價、教學管理等方面問題，為后進入的省份創造了豐富的、可供學習與借鑒的實踐經驗。陳小婭說，按照教育部課程改革的整體規劃，2010年前高中新課程將全面推開，希望尚沒進入高中新課程的省份做好整體規劃和前期準備工作。</FONT></DIV></font></div>
