Unfortunately, <a class="link" href="gdk-Properties-and-Atoms.html#gdk-property-get"><code class="function">gdk_property_get()</code></a> makes the situationworse instead of better (the semantics should be consideredundefined), and also prints warnings to stderr in cases where itshould return a useful error to the program.
