<Almost since the introduction of microcontrollers as electronic components there always has been an oscillatorcircuit on the device to make it work. From application point of view only some external components wererequired to make it work. However, to make sure that it will always work required more effort. This report is basedon feedback from the market from customers applying 8-bit mircrocontrollers.>
This book introduces embedded systems to C and C++ programmers. Topics include testing memory devices, writing and erasing Flash memory, verifying nonvolatile memory contents, controlling on-chip peripherals, device driver design and implementation, optimizing embedded code for size and speed, and making the most of C++ without a performance penalty. We intend to develop a wifi enabled p2p file sharing system on a linux platform using jxta and java. The purpose is to build a system that can be ported to an embedded device at a later stage and be used for p2p file sharing using the 802.11b standard.

LPC2148 USB Audio Device Example
This USB example project implements an USB Audio Device that connects via the USB interface to the PC. It may be used on the following devices:
LPC2141
LPC2142
LPC2144
LPC2146
LPC2148
An USB Audio Device (HID) does not require any special USB driver, since the USB Audio support is already built into Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Therefore USB Audio devices can be directly connected to the computer. This example project is designed to work with Keil MCB2140 Evaluation Board.
Refer to Running USBAudio for information on how to operate this example project.
This example implements a gameport translator on the PIC16C765. The
firmware translates a gaming device plugged into the gameport to a USB
gaming device. The firmware is set up to translate the DexxaTM
eight-button gamepad. Changes to the firmware will be necessary
for a different gaming device.
This example demonstrates how to erase, write, and read the on-chip 640-byte EEPROM Data Memory of the Analog Devices ADuC812, ADuC814, ADuC816, and ADuC824 devivces. This example includes a µ Vision2 Project with a target for each supported device.
