谷歌2019博士生獎研金項目新科入選名單公布：全球55人入選，其中華人/中國學生13人。
谷歌的博士生獎研金項目（Google Ph.D Fellowship Program）創立于2009 年，以獎勵在計算機學科及其相關學科或者其它前瞻科研領域方面表現優異的博士生。
該項目為攻讀計算機科學（或相關領域）研究生學位的學生提供了一個獨特的機會，資助其自由探索影響未來的科技。創立10年來，Google Ph.D Fellowship已經資助來自澳大利亞、中國和東亞、印度、北美、歐洲、中東和非洲的近400名學生。每年，谷歌PhD Fellows會被邀請參加全球 PhD Fellowship Summit，在那里他們可以接觸到谷歌正在進行的最先進的研究，并有機會與谷歌的研究員以及來自世界各地的其他博士研究生交流。
Google PhD Fellowship SummitFellows們有機會展示海報，與谷歌的研究員討論他們的工作，并從各自領域的大牛那里直接獲得反饋。小組討論由2位來自Google和2位來自學術界的校友組成，同時提供來自學術界和工業界的觀點。
今天，谷歌在官方博客宣布了新科Ph.D Fellowship入選者。一共55人入選，其中，中國人/華人學生13人，分別比去年少2人。
Peilin Zhong, Columbia University哥倫比亞大學計算機科學專業4年級博士，導師為 Alex Andoni, Cliff Stein, and Mihalis Yannakakis，研究方向理論計算機科學，主要是在算法的設計和分析。本科在清華大學姚班學習，發表頂會（包括NeurIPS、ICML、ICALP、SODA等）論文14篇，今年一年發表6篇！http://www.cs.columbia.edu/~peilin/Zhe Feng, Harvard University哈佛大學計算機科學專業3年級博士，導師為David C.
