AC3標準文檔，杜比數字AC-3（Dolby Digital AC-3）是杜比公司開發的新一代家庭影院多聲道數字音頻系統。杜比定向邏輯系統是一個模擬系統。它的四個聲道是從編碼后的兩個聲道分解出來的，因此難免有分離度不佳、信噪比不高，對環繞聲缺乏立體感，并且環繞聲的頻帶窄等缺點。
