計算機中傳輸數據的方式有兩種：并行方式和串行方式。在IBM PC機的匯編語言中，對串口的編程方式有DOS和BIOS 系統功能中斷調用。本次實驗設計采用BIOS系統功能中斷調用，即通過INT 14H，調用ROM BIOS串口通信例行程序。
