A certification path is an ordered list of certificates starting with a certificate issued by the relying party s trust root, and ending with the target certificate that needs to be validated. Certification path validation procedures are based on the algorithm supplied in ITU-t Recommendation X.509 and further defined in Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) Request for Comments (RFC) 3280. Certification path processing verifies the binding between the subject distinguished name and/or subject alternative name and the subject public key defined in the target certificate. The binding is limited by constraints, which are specified in the certificates that comprise the path, and inputs that are specified by the relying party. To ensure secure interoperation of PKI-enabled applications, the path validation must be done in accordance with the X.509 and RFC 3280 specifications. This document provides the test assertions and the test cases for testing path validation software against these specifications.

The 4.0 kbit/s speech codec described in this paper is based on a Frequency Domain Interpolative (FDI) coding technique, which belongs to the class of prototype waveform Interpolation (PWI) coding techniques. The codec also has an integrated voice activity detector (VAD) and a noise reduction capability. The input signal is subjected to LPC analysis and the prediction residual is separated into a slowly evolving waveform (SEW) and a rapidly evolving waveform (REW) components. The SEW magnitude component is quantized using a hierarchical predictive vector quantization approach. The REW magnitude is quantized using a gain and a sub-band based shape. SEW and REW phases are derived at the decoder using a phase model, based on a transmitted measure of voice periodicity. The spectral (LSP) parameters are quantized using a combination of scalar and vector quantizers. The 4.0 kbits/s coder has an algorithmic delay of 60 ms and an estimated floating point complexity of 21.5 MIPS. The performance of this coder has been evaluated using in-house MOS tests under various conditions such as background noise. channel errors, self-tandem. and DTX mode of operation, and has been shown to be statistically equivalent to ITU-t (3.729 8 kbps codec across all conditions tested.

ITU-t的H.323標準[1規(guī)定了如何在沒有QoS保證的分組網(wǎng)上實現(xiàn)多媒體通信的具體技術要求和規(guī)程,它為在IP網(wǎng)絡上進行聲音、視頻和數(shù)據(jù)通信建立了基礎。因為,目前IP網(wǎng)絡不能完全滿足會議系統(tǒng)所要求的多點對多點通信控制功能,需要有多點控制單元MCU處理多點視聽信號的分配、切換和管理。在Internet迅速發(fā)展和PC極為普及且性能較高的背景下,基于PC和IP網(wǎng)絡的桌面型視頻會議將有較好的應用前景。整個系統(tǒng)包括:終端、網(wǎng)關、網(wǎng)守和MCU,都是基于PC和Windows系統(tǒng)用VC+ +實現(xiàn)的。1 MCU的總體設計MCU支持同時舉行多個會議,會議的個數(shù)沒有限制,每個會議可以接入多個終端。MCU可接入終端的數(shù)量理論上只限制于Windows操作系統(tǒng)下可使用的SOCKET端口的數(shù)量,實際上主要的限制在于MCU接入的網(wǎng)絡帶寬和MCU主機的處理能力如CPU、內存等。
