This document accompanies a sample co-installer that can be used in conjunction with an INF file to install additional device INF files on the target system during a device installation. The instructions herein apply to the Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 operating systems. The sample co-installer described in this article interprets CopyINF directives in a [DDInstall] section in an INF file. The sample demonstrates using a co-installer to perform processing after a device has been installed, parsing the INF section that is being used for the installation, and the use of the SetupCopyOEMInf, SetupGetInfInformation, SetupQueryInfOriginalFileInformation and SetupDiGetActualSectionToInstall APIs.

A "code-what"? Unless you have spent some time working in the area of reverse engineering, chances are you have not heard of the term "codecave" before. If you have heard of it, you might not have read a clear definition of it or quite understand what it is or why it is useful. I have even asked seasoned assembly programmers about the term before and most of them had not heard of it. If it is new to you, do not worry, you are not the only one. This is an implementation of double-array structure for representing trie, as proposed by Junichi Aoe [1]. Trie is a kind of digital search tree, an efficient indexing method with O(1) time complexity for searching. Comparably as efficient as hashing, trie also provides flexibility on incremental matching and key spelling manipulation. This makes it ideal for lexical analyzers, as well as spelling dictionaries. In an electromagnetic cloak based on a transformation approach, reduced sets of material properties are generally favored due to their easier implementation in reality, although a seemingly inevitable drawback of undesired reflection exists in such cloaks. Here we suggest using high-order transformations to create smooth moduli at the outer boundary of the cloak, therefore completely eliminating the detrimental scattering within the limit of geometric optics. We apply this scheme to a non-magnetic cylindrical cloak and demonstrate that the scattered field is reduced substantially in a cloak with optimal quadratic transformation as compared to its linear counterpart.
