The ia64 and ix86 directories contain versions of kdb prior to v2.0
(kdb version v2.0, not the kernel version). Older versions of kdb had
complete patches for each architecture it supported, each patch included
all the common kdb code. This format was awkward to maintain and use
for multiple Platforms.
Starting with kdb v2.0 there is a common patch against each kernel which
contains all the architecture independent code plus separate architecture
dependent patches. Either use an old style (v1.8 or v1.9) kdb patch or
use a new style (v2.0) common patch plus the corresponding architecture
dependent patch.
Most code samples included on this CD were developed with Microsoft Visual C++ version 5.0 and the Microsoft Windows CE Toolkit for Visual C++ version 5.0. The Sspi and Crypto samples were developed with Microsoft Visual C++ version 6.0 and the Microsoft Windows CE Toolkit for Visual C++ 6.0. The code in sample applications is ported for a Handheld PC, but the programming concepts that are presented apply to all Windows CE-based Platforms.
This set of simulation files performs a computational complexity performance comparison of the two methods mentioned in the paper. The source is ANSI-C compliant, hence any C-compiler can be used to compile the source code. It has been tested using Visual Studio.net C++ and TI code composer studio C compiler for the TMS320C6701. Note that the performance comparison may be different for different Platforms.
PCI Hot-Plug Specification Revision 1.0
The primary objective of this specification is to enable higher availability of file and application servers by standardizing key aspects of the process of removing and installing PCI adapter cards while the system is running. Although these same principles can be applied to desktop and portable systems using PCI buses, the operations described here target server Platforms.
The third edition of Learning GNU Emacs describes Emacs 21.3 from the ground up, including new user interface features such as an icon-based toolbar and an interactive interface to Emacs customization. A new chapter details how to install and run Emacs on Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux, including tips for using Emacs effectively on those Platforms.
The latest release, ver 1.16 of the ARM (7TDMI, 720T, 920T) port for uC/OS-II V2.61 (and higher) includes ports for the following Platforms:
1. S3c2410x ( ARM920T from Samsung ) on SMDK2410 eval board.
2. LPC2xxx - LPC210x & LPC213x ( ARM7TDMI-S from Philips ) on IAR s Kickstart & OLIMEX boards.
3. EP7312 ( ARM720T from CIRRUS ) on CDK238 eval board. Should also work on boards based on the CS89712.
Tool-chains: GCC 3.3.2, ADS 1.2 & SDT 2.51.
Op-modes: Pure ARM & ARM-THUMB interworked.
Endianess: Big endian & Little endian modes
EDB (Evan s Debugger) is a QT4 based binary mode debugger with the goal of having usability on par with OllyDbg. It uses a plugin architecture, so adding new features can be done with ease. The current release is for Linux, but future releases will target more Platforms.
Release focus: Major feature enhancements
Changes:
A new disassembly engine. A bug that could cause crashing was fixed. There is a new flags breakdown in the register view, an environment view plugin, and improved analysis (including a good speed increase). A bug in QT where disabled events could be triggered has been worked around.
The sfloppy sample is a super floppy driver that resides in the directory \\Ntddk\Src\Storage\sfloppy. It is a class driver for Super Floppy disk drives. It sits a level above the port driver (ATAPI, USB, etc) in the driver stack, and brokers communication between the application level and the port driver. The floppy driver takes requests from filesystem drivers and then sends the appropriate SCSI_REQUEST_BLOCK (SRB) to the port driver. It is compatible with x86 and IA64 Platforms.
