The most straightforward approximation is the standard Gaussian approximation, where the MAI is approximated by a Gaussian random variable. This approximation is simple, however it is not accurate in general. In situations where the number of users is not large, the Gaussian approximation is not appropriate. In-depth analysis of must be applied. The Holtzman?s improved Gaussian approximation provides a better approximation to the MAI term. The approximation conditions the interference term on the operation condition of each user.

The potential of solving real-time demanding industrial applications, using vision-based
algorithms, drastically grew due to an increasing availability of computational power.
In this thesis a novel real-time, vision-based Blackjack analysis system is presented. The
embedding of the vision algorithms in a compound system of other information sources such
as an electronic chip tray, reduces the vision task to detect cards and chips. Robust results
are achieved by not just analyzing single frames but an image stream regarding game-ß ow
informations. The requirements for such a system are a highly robust and adaptive behav-
ior. This is motivated by the vital interest of casino entrepreneurs in a 100 statistical
analysis of their offered gambling in order to support the business plan, measuring table
and dealer performance and give accurate player rating. Extensive experiments show the
robustness and applicability of the proposed system.

accurate pose estimation plays an important role in solution of simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) problem, required for many robotic applications. This paper presents a new approach called R-SLAM, primarily to overcome systematic and non-systematic odometry errors which are generally caused by uneven floors, unexpected objects on the floor or wheel-slippage due to skidding or fast turns.The hybrid approach presented here combines the strengths of feature based and grid based methods to produce globally consistent high resolution maps within various types of environments.

In Helsinki during a visiting lecture, an internationally well-known professor in communica-
tionssaid,‘Inthecommunicationssocietywehavemanagedtoconvertourproposalsandideas
to real products, not like in the control engineering society. They have very nice papers and
strong mathematics but most of the real systems still use the old PID controllers!’. As our
background is mainly in control as well as communications engineering, we know that this
thought is not very accurate. We agree that most of the practical controllers are analog and
digital PID controllers, simply because they are very reliable and able to achieve the required
control goals successfully. Most of the controllers can be explained in terms of PID. The
reasons behind this impressive performance of PID will be explained in Chapter 2.

if they contain shorter connections between layers close to
the input and those close to the output. In this paper, we
embrace this observation and introduce the Dense Convo-

The system is mainly composed of second-order low-pass filter circuit, small signal amplifier circuit, single-chip measurement and display circuit, switching regulated power supply circuit and so on. At the same time, the self-made motor speed measuring device uses high frequency magnetic ring as the carrier, coil winding magnetic ring, and electromagnetic induction principle to detect the leakage of magnetic field during the operation of the motor, which converts the changed magnetic field signal into the induced current on the magnetic ring. The weak electric signal is transformed into pulse signal by signal processing unit circuit, which is sent to single chip computer for detection, so as to meet the requirement of accurate measurement of motor speed.
