You may have heard the Latest Brief web service on CodeProject.com. It provides several methods for web client programs to retrieve information about CodeProject.com, such as the latest article updates, the latest comments, and the latest lounge posts, etc. Some very popular articles on the CodeProject site make use of this service. In this article, I am going to present a java client program that uses soap message to call the methods of this web service. My program is not a general java soap client, which means you cannot use it to call other web services directly. However, you can easily modify it for other web services. The program uses only basic Java, it does not depend on any other external class library.

This document accompanies a sample co-installer that can be used in conjunction with an INF file to install additional device INF files on the target system during a device installation. The instructions herein apply to the Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 operating systems. The sample co-installer described in this article interprets CopyINF directives in a [DDInstall] section in an INF file. The sample demonstrates using a co-installer to perform processing after a device has been installed, parsing the INF section that is being used for the installation, and the use of the SetupCopyOEMInf, SetupGetInfInformation, SetupQueryInfOriginalFileInformation and SetupDiGetActualSectionToInstall APIs.

Quaternions are hypercomplex numbers (that is generalizations of the complex numbers to higher dimensions than two). For an introduction, refer to the Wikipedia article on Quaternions. Quaternion toolbox for Matlab® extends Matlab® to allow calculation with matrices of quaternions in almost the same way that one calculates with matrices of complex numbers. This is achieved by defining a private type to represent quaternion matrices and overloadings of many standard Matlab® functions. 使用TWAIN讀取掃描儀的圖像。In Windows imaging applications, the most used API for scanning is TWAIN www.twain.org. Unfortunately, the new .NET Framework has no built-in support for TWAIN. So we have to work with the interop methods of .NET to access this API. This article doesn t explain this interop techniques, and good knowledge of the TWAIN 1.9 specifications is assumed! The sample code included doesn t present a finished library, only some essential steps for a minimal TWAIN adaption to .NET applications.
