OMEGA家族芯片簡(jiǎn)介: 1997年,STMicroelectronics將MPEG器件、可編程傳輸器件以及CPU集成在單一的芯片中,制成了OMEGA 家族中第一片STi5500,為機(jī)頂盒以及數(shù)字電視的蓬勃發(fā)展鋪平了道路。在此之后,ST使用了相同的芯片組架構(gòu)進(jìn)行DVD的開(kāi)發(fā)。DVB和DVD芯片組中的MPEG解碼和CPU部分的架構(gòu)是相同的,只需要改變部分電路,就可以將產(chǎn)品用于衛(wèi)星、有線(xiàn)、DVD等不同產(chǎn)品中。 ST的OMEGA是一個(gè)系列的芯片組,包括:STi5512、STi5514、STi5516、STi5517、STi5518、STi5519、STi5528、STi5580、STi5588、STi5578、STi4629等。

The first part is the Systems section which defines the container format and the Transport Streams that are designed to carry the digital video and audio over ATSC and DVB. Following chapter introduces the mobile communication, gives a short history of wireless communication evolution, and highlights some application scenarios predestined for the use of mobile devices.
