most small appliances, test equipment, and
other devices that plug into a branch outlet
or socket. The 34401A may be used to make
measurements with the HI and LO inputs
connected to mains in such devices, or to
the branch outlet itself (up to 300 VAC).
However, the 34401A may not be used with
its HI and LO inputs connected to mains in
permanently installed electrical devices
such as the main circuit-breaker panel,
sub-panel disconnect boxes, or permanently
wired motors. Such devices and circuits are
subject to overvoltages that may exceed the
protection limits of the 34401A.
Note: Voltages above 300 VAC may be measured only in circuits that are isolated from
mains. However, transient overvoltages are
also present on circuits that are isolated
from mains. The Agilent 34401A are
designed to safely withstand occasional
transient overvoltages up to 2500 Vpk. Do
not use this equipment to measure circuits
where transient overvoltages could exceed
this level.

電子產(chǎn)品的設(shè)計(jì)一般先從功能框圖開始,然后細(xì)化到原理圖,還要經(jīng)過很復(fù)雜和繁瑣的調(diào)試驗(yàn)證過程,最終才能完成。為了驗(yàn)證原理圖的正確性,都要焊接實(shí)驗(yàn)板(樣板),或使用易于插件的“面包板”,每個(gè)節(jié)點(diǎn)都必須正確和可靠,連接或焊接過程都是細(xì)致而耗時(shí)的工作,在器件很多時(shí)幾乎是不可能完成的任務(wù),而每次調(diào)整都要打樣,耗時(shí)長而成本高,在設(shè)計(jì)集成電路時(shí)更是如此,急需在制造之前驗(yàn)證集成電路的功能。這種現(xiàn)實(shí)需要就迫使人們想用他辦法來解決。 根據(jù)電路理論,人們可以建立起節(jié)點(diǎn)方程和回路方程,通過解這些方程組成的方程組就可以得到結(jié)果,也就是說可以通過計(jì)算來獲得電路的工作情況。但包含電感、電容等器件的電路形成的是一組微分方程組,人工計(jì)算依然是累人的活,而計(jì)算機(jī)則可以大展身手,通過其強(qiáng)大的存儲(chǔ)、計(jì)算和圖形顯示能力就能輕松完成,很快得到結(jié)果。基于這種思想,人們開發(fā)出電路仿真軟件,通過快速的仿真,代替耗時(shí)且累人的反復(fù)調(diào)測,提高設(shè)計(jì)速度和效率,也節(jié)省了時(shí)間和成本。最早、最出色的仿真軟件就是SPICE。SPICE是Simulation Program with Integrated Circuits Emphasis的縮寫,由美國加利福尼亞大學(xué)伯克利(Berkeley)分校的電工和計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)系開發(fā),骨干是Ron Rohrer和Larry Nagel,開始是使用FORTRAN語言設(shè)計(jì)的仿真軟件,用于快速可靠地驗(yàn)證集成電路中的電路設(shè)計(jì)以及預(yù)測電路的性能。第一個(gè)版本SPICE1于1971年推出,通過圍繞晶體管建立電流和電壓變量來仿真電路的行為,稱為模擬仿真或電路級(jí)仿真,且只能模擬100個(gè)晶體管的電路。1975年SPICE2發(fā)布,開始正式實(shí)用化,1983年發(fā)布的SPICE2G.6在很長時(shí)間內(nèi)都是工業(yè)標(biāo)準(zhǔn),它包含超過15000條FORTRON語句,運(yùn)行于多種中小型計(jì)算機(jī)上。1985年SPICE3推出,轉(zhuǎn)為用C語言開發(fā),易于運(yùn)行于UNIX工作站,還增加了圖形后處理工具和原理圖工具,提供了更多的器件模型和分析功能。在1988年SPICE被定為美國國家標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。Spice仿真器采用修改的節(jié)點(diǎn)分析法來建立電路方程組,提供非線性直流分析,非線性瞬態(tài)分析(實(shí)域分析)和線性小信號(hào)分析(頻域分析)等。其中瞬態(tài)分析是最費(fèi)時(shí)的驗(yàn)證方法,通常是利用數(shù)值積分法把非線性微分方程變成一組代數(shù)方程組,然后用高斯消去法來求解,因?yàn)檫@些線性方程僅僅在積分時(shí)刻點(diǎn)是有效的,而隨著仿真器進(jìn)展到下一個(gè)積分步長,積分方法必須重復(fù)來得到新的線性方程組,如果信號(hào)變化得特別快,積分步長應(yīng)該取得非常小以便積分方法能收斂到正確的解,因此瞬態(tài)分析需要大量的數(shù)學(xué)操作。隨著SPICE的發(fā)布,其他一些機(jī)構(gòu)也加入研究行列,更有一些軟件供應(yīng)商也看中這個(gè)商機(jī),紛紛推出基于SPICE3的各種商業(yè)軟件,如XSPICE、PSPICE、ISSPICE、T-SPICE、HSPICE等等,功能更強(qiáng),更方便使用,使SPICE成為電子電路仿真的主流軟件,一些軟件公司也是通過SPICE相關(guān)軟件得到發(fā)展,并逐漸成為現(xiàn)在的EDA軟件公司,成為知識(shí)創(chuàng)造財(cái)富的實(shí)例。因?yàn)镾PICE仿真需要相關(guān)的元器件仿真模型庫,還催生了依靠提供器件模型為生的公司和個(gè)人,但中國人都樂于奉獻(xiàn),沒錢當(dāng)然不會(huì)買,這種公司在中國是無法存在的(http://www.aeng.com/spicemodeling.asp )。SPICE軟件也有一定局限性,有些電路無法仿真或仿真時(shí)因不能收斂而失敗,特別是用于數(shù)模混合電路及脈沖電路時(shí)尤其如此。就算通過仿真,最終還是要通過實(shí)際制作電路板調(diào)試和驗(yàn)證,仿真只是使這個(gè)過程大大縮短,次數(shù)大大減少,也就降低了成本。軟件能提高效率和降低成本,所以就有相應(yīng)的價(jià)值,但中國人的人工費(fèi)低廉而有的是時(shí)間,干得好干得快才讓人討厭,軟件在中國也就不值錢了。
