Robustnesstochangesinilluminationconditionsaswellas viewing perspectives is an important requirement formany computer vision applications. One of the key fac-ors in enhancing the robustness of dynamic scene analy-sis that of accurate and reliable means for shadow de-ection. Shadowdetectioniscriticalforcorrectobjectde-ection in image sequences. Many algorithms have beenproposed in the literature that deal with shadows. This book presents an insightful view of XML that places this emerging technology in the context of the ongoing Web revolution. Written for business and technical professionals, this book revals the true value of XML for distributed information systems. It explains how XML is transforming the way organizations manage data and build software systems details the opportunities the language offers for organizatoins that understand tis significance and potential impact and explains how XML and Web services reflect a fundamental shift in software construction-from monolithic applications to software based on the composition of simple parts.

Lab 2 – Synthesizable MATLAB
This lab exercise will explore the effects that different MATLAB coding styles have on hardware. The lab has two parts, each of which begins with a short introduction. This lab exercise is based on the simple MATLAB FIR filter model shown below:
The Staged Event-Driven Architecture (SEDA) is a new design for building scalable Internet services. SEDA has three major goals:
To support massive concurrency, on the order of tens of thousands of clients per node
To exhibit robust performance under wide variations in load and,
To simplify the design of complex Internet services.
SEDA decomposes a complex, event-driven application into a set of stages connected by queues. This design avoids the high overhead associated with thread-based concurrency models, and decouples event and thread scheduling from application logic. SEDA enables services to be well-conditioned to load, preventing resources from being overcommitted when demand exceeds service capacity. Decomposing services into a set of stages also enables modularity and code reuse, as well as the development of debugging tools for complex event-driven applications.

This Document provides the High Level Design specification for the Bootloader development and library porting for ADSP-BF533 based EZ-Kit Lite Board and STAMP Board. This document is meant to be the one of the inputs for the System Test Plan and the overall implementation of the same. This document also details the approach and assumptions made for the design
A general technique for the recovery of signicant
image features is presented. The technique is based on
the mean shift algorithm, a simple nonparametric pro-
cedure for estimating density gradients. Drawbacks of
the current methods (including robust clustering) are
avoided. Feature space of any nature can be processed,
and as an example, color image segmentation is dis-
cussed. The segmentation is completely autonomous,
only its class is chosen by the user. Thus, the same
program can produce a high quality edge image, or pro-
vide, by extracting all the signicant colors, a prepro-
cessor for content-based query systems. A 512 512
color image is analyzed in less than 10 seconds on a
standard workstation. Gray level images are handled
as color images having only the lightness coordinate
