Consumer display applications commonly use high-speed LVDS interfaces to transfer videodata. Spread-spectrum clocking can be used to address electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)issues within these consumer devices. This application note uses Spartan®-6 FPGAs togenerate spread-spectrum clocks using the DCM_CLKGEN primitive.
多遠(yuǎn)程二極管溫度傳感器-Design Considerations for pc thermal management
Multiple RDTS (remote diode temperature sensing) provides the most accurate method of sensing an IC’s junction temperature. It overcomes thermal gradient and placement issues encountered when trying to place external sensors. PCB component count decreases when using a device that provides multiple inputs.Better temperature sensing improves product performance and reliability. Disk drive data integrity suffers at elevated temperatures. IBM published an article stating that a 5°C rise in operating temperature causes a 15% increase in the drive’s failure rate. The overall performance of a system can be improved by providing a more accurate temperature measurement of the most critical devices allowing them to run just a few degrees hotter. The LM83 directly senses its own temperature and the temperature of three external PN junctions. One is dedicated to the CPU of choice, the other two go to other parts of your system that need thermal monitoring such as the disk drive or graphics chip. The SMBus-compatible LM83 supports SMBus timeout and logic levels. The LM83 has two interrupt outputs; one for user-programmable limits and WATCHDOG capability (INT), the other is a Critical Temperature Alarm output (T_CRIT_A) for system power supply shutdown.
Abstract: Field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) are used in a wide variety of applications and end markets, including digital signalprocessing, medical imaging, and high-performance computing. This application note outlines the issues related to powering FPGAs.It also discusses Maxim's solutions for powering Xilinx® FPGAs.
Nios II 軟件開發(fā)人員手冊(cè)中的緩存和緊耦合存儲(chǔ)器部分
Nios® II embedded processor cores can contain instruction and data caches. This
chapter discusses cache-related issues that you need to consider to guarantee that
your program executes correctly on the Nios II processor. Fortunately, most software
based on the Nios II hardware abstraction layer (HAL) works correctly without any
special accommodations for caches. However, some software must manage the cache
directly. For code that needs direct control over the cache, the Nios II architecture
provides facilities to perform the following actions:

Abstract: As industrial control systems (ICSs) have become increasingly connected and use more off-the-shelfcomponents, new vulnerabilities to cyber attacks have emerged. This tutorial looks at three types of ICSs:programmable logic controllers (PLCs), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, anddistributed control systems (DCSs), and then discusses security issues and remedies. This document alsoexplains the benefits and limitations of two cryptographic solutions (digital signatures and encryption) andelaborates on the reasons for using security ICs in an ICS to support cryptography.
ADO.NET in a Nutshell is the most complete and concise source of ADO.NET information available. Besides being a valuable reference, this book covers a variety of issues that programmers face when developing web applications or web services that rely on database access. Most examples use Microsoft s C# language. The book s CD includes an add-in to integrate the reference with Visual Studio .NET help files.
MemCheck Driver Memory Tool The MemCheck code is designed to provide Windows NT/2K/XP driver developers with a tool to help in the detection of the following memory handling issues: Buffer overrun Buffer corruption Buffer use after buffer release Double buffer releases
