Many times I have been asked to explain “ briefl y ” how SDH, SONET, and the OTN “ exactly ” work. The questions came mainly from new colleagues, stu- dents, and users of these technologies, personally or via the usenet newsgroup comp.dcom.sdh - sonet. I could have referred them to the standards documents, but to provide a more consistent and clear answer I decided to write this pocket guide. The objective of this book is to allow the reader to predict the received signal power produced by a particular radio transmitter. The first two chapters examine propagation in free space for point-to-point and point-to-area transmission, respectively. This is combined with a dis- cussion regarding the characteristics of antennas for various purposes. In chapter 3, the effect of obstacles, whether buildings or mountains, is discussed and analytical methods, whereby the strength of a signal is the shadow of an obstacle can be predicted, are presented.

Modern day large power systems are essentially dynamic systems with stringent requirements of high reliability for the continuous availability of electricity. Reliability is contingent on the power system retaining stable operation during steady-state operation and also following disturbances. The subject of power sys- tem stability has been studied for many decades. With new developments, and there have been many over the past couple of decades, new concerns and problems arise that need to be studied and analysed. Methods: In this paper, the model of equivalent circuit of ultrasonic transducer nearby syntony was built up, and the hardware control system of ultrasonic scalpel based on digital signal processing(DSP) was designed. Results: Through testing the circuit and work performance of power control system, the series of parameters such as effective value and so on which were produced by this system could adjust frequency of power source in time and attain anticipative functional indicator, and it took the ultrasonic scalpel to work in syntonic situation. Conclusion: The tested indicators of power control system of ultrasonic scalpel based on the kernel design of DSP can attain anticipative requirement, and can take this system to work in syntonic situation.
