Feature selection is a preprocessing technique frequently used in data mining and machine learning tasks. It can reduce dimensionality, remove irrelevant data, increase learning Accuracy, and improve results comprehensibility. FCBF is a fast correlation-based filter algorithm designed for high-dimensional data and has been shown effective in removing both irrelevant features and redundant features
The paper presents the CORDIC Algorithm, which has been implemented as an virtual component (IP core) in a VHDL simulation environment. The core is packaged as a soft (VHDL) macro and it implements all transcenden-tal functions. Analysis of the Accuracy of the algorithms implemented shows that the CORDIC functions are equivalent to the Accuracy of a Pentium coprocessor.

In this paper, we present LOADED, an algorithm for outlier
detection in evolving data sets containing both continuous
and categorical attributes. LOADED is a tunable algorithm,
wherein one can trade off computation for Accuracy so that
domain-specific response times are achieved. Experimental
results show that LOADED provides very good detection and
false positive rates, which are several times better than those
of existing distance-based schemes.
