Foundations of Python Network Programming leads readers through every aspect of client and server programming with Python. Python is a new and innovative scripting language. It is set to replace Perl as the programming language of choice for scripters and for serious application developers wanting a feature rich yet simple language to deploy their products in.
This book features extensive examples that not only demonstrate important concepts and practices, but also provide a cadre of fully-functional stand-alone programs. Readers can use the examples as the basis and building blocks for their own software
The Funambol J2ME Mail Client aims to be a light, easy to use, free email
client for J2ME devices.
The first release comes with a simple but effective UI, and a storage limited
to the internal RMS only. This makes the application compatible with most of
the phones around (minimum requirements are: MIDP2.0, CLDC 1.0, 512k of
Storage).
The mail synchronization using SyncML 1.2 over HTTP, thus removing
any problem related to the access to IMAP or POP ports.
The mail client synchonizes its address book with the one on the server,
Its design is modular and can be extended in future with other mail
protocols, a more sophisticated UI and access to the phone s AddressBook or
filesystem for the devices allowing this.
See the javadoc for more information on the structure of the library.
From helping to assess the value of new medical treatments to evaluating the
factors that affect our opinions and behaviors, analysts today are finding
myriad uses for categorical data methods. In this book we introduce these
methods and the theory behind them.
Statistical methods for categorical responses were late in gaining the level
of sophistication achieved early in the twentieth century by methods for
continuous responses. Despite influential work around 1900 by the British
statistician Karl Pearson, relatively little development of models for categorical
responses occurred until the 1960s. In this book we describe the early
fundamental work that still has importance today but place primary emphasis
on more recent modeling approaches. Before outlining

For this exercise, we will use the library schema. It includes information about book titles in the library, information about library members, about the number of times the books were read by members, about the suppliers who supply books to the library, and about orders placed with the suppliers. To distinguish the table names used in this exercise from the table names in other exercise, each table name in this exercise ends with the character 4 .
"TR1 roughly doubles the size of the C++ standard library, and it introduces many new facilities and even new kinds of library components. TR1 has some classes, for example, where some nested types may or may not exist depending on the template arguments. To programmers whose experience stops with the standard library, this is strange and unfamiliar. This book is complete (it covers all TR1 facilities), it is easier to understand than TR1 itself, and it is technically accurate."
This book provides a complete intermediate-level discussion of microcontroller programming using
the C programming language. It covers both the adaptations to C necessary for targeting an
embedded environment, and the common components of a successful development project.
C is the language of choice for programming larger microcontrollers (MCU), those based on 32-bit
cores. These parts are often derived
from their general-purpose
counterparts, and are both as
complex and feature-rich. As a result, C (and C++) compilers are necessary and readily available for
these MCUs.

mastering dojo
The book really rolls out the red carpet for Dojo to emerge with guns
blazing! The authors show you how easy it is to use impressive
widgets without installing a thing. I was amazed to discover that
JavaScript is not just a toy language, how Dojo is built on top of it,
and how both are invaluable in any web development project. Buy
this book. It’s the next best thing to having the authors working at
your side.
This file contains documentation all APIs from Palm, Inc. for Palm OS by ACCESS. It includes the API function definitions for the following product lines:
Centro
Treo
Tungsten
Zire
LifeDrive
The goal of this document is to provide developers with a detailed reference of all functions, parameters, and constant definitions. For more information on developing applications, refer to the document "Palm Developer Guide, Palm OS Platform" available as part of the SDK download and also separately at the PDN website.
Programming Windows with MFC isn t a book about C++ rather, it s a book about writing 32-bit Windows applications in C++ using MFC rather than the Windows API as the chief means of accessing the operating system s essential features and services.
Recent advances in experimental methods have resulted in the generation
of enormous volumes of data across the life sciences. Hence clustering and
classification techniques that were once predominantly the domain of ecologists
are now being used more widely. This book provides an overview of these
important data analysis methods, from long-established statistical methods
to more recent machine learning techniques. It aims to provide a framework
that will enable the reader to recognise the assumptions and constraints that
are implicit in all such techniques. Important generic issues are discussed first
and then the major families of algorithms are described. Throughout the focus
is on explanation and understanding and readers are directed to other resources
that provide additional mathematical rigour when it is required. Examples
taken from across the whole of biology, including bioinformatics, are provided
throughout the book to illustrate the key concepts and each technique’s
potential.
