基于合成孔徑雷達（SAR）圖像的海面風場估計已經得到廣泛認可。多數風速反演算法是以估計的風向、校正的δvv為先驗條件，應用海風模型計算而得的。在相同風向的情況下，應用不同的海風模型會得到不同的風速反演值，因此選擇合適的模型是風場估計的關鍵。同時，風向數據的精確度也很重要，即使不大的誤差也會給風速的反演結果帶來明顯偏差。為解決上述問題這里提出一種不需要預先已知風向數據的風場估計算法。該算法將基于海洋SAR圖像中風浪的條紋信息，以及風浪條紋生成的自相關函數的周期性估計風速數據，同時由風浪條紋的最短周期方向估計風向數據，從而估計出完整的風場矢量。仿真結果顯示，該算法對風速和風向數據有較高的估計精度。
