The Joint Video Team (JVT) of ISO/IEC MPEG and ITU-T VCEG are finalising a new standard for
the coding (COMPRESSION) of natural video images. The new standard [1] will be known as H.264 and
also MPEG-4 Part 10, “Advanced Video Coding”. The standard specifies two types of entropy coding:
Context-based Adaptive Binary Arithmetic Coding (CABAC) and Variable-Length Coding (VLC).
The Variable-Length Coding scheme, part of the Baseline Profile of H.264, is described in this
document.

This library allows creating, modifying and extracting zip archives in the compatible way with PKZIP (2.5 and higher) and WinZip. Supported are all possible operations on the zip archive: creating, extracting, adding, deleting files from the archive, modifications of the existing archive. There is also the support for creating and extracting multiple disk archives (on non-removable devices as well) and for password encryption and decryption. This module uses COMPRESSION and deCOMPRESSION functions from zlib library by Jean-loup Gailly and Mark Adler.
This program compress and recostruct using wavelets. We can select level of decomposition(here maximum 4 levels are given) of images using selected wavelet.
For eg:-wavelets can be haar, db1, db2,dmey...............
Decomposition can be viewed in figure.
(Please note that select 256X256 image for better result.)
Then COMPRESSION can performed,
PERFL2 give COMPRESSION score.
Then reconstruction can be performed.
Each decompsition we can choose different threshold values.
For each threshold value we can calculate mse,psnr,pq(picture quality),

This document is intended to serve as an introduction to Wavelet processing through a set of Matlab experiments. These experiments will gives an overview of three fundamental tasks in signal and image processing : signal, denoising and COMPRESSION. These scripts are selfs contents (needed additional Matlab functions can be downloaded while reading the lectures).
Each one of these five lectures should take between 1h and 2h in order to tests the various features of the scripts. One should copy/paste the provided code into a file names e.g. tp1.m, and launch the script directly from Matlab comand line > tp1 . Some of the scripts contains "holes" that you should try to fill on your own.
I also provide the complete correction of these lectures as a set of Matlab scripts, but you should try as much as possible to avoid using them.
