This paper presents an interactive technique that produces static hairstyles by generating individual hair strands of the desired shape and color, subject to the presence of gravity and collisions. A variety of hairstyles can be generated by adjusting the wisp parameters, while the deformation is solved efficiently, accounting for the Effects of gravity and collisions. Wisps are generated employing statistical approaches. As for hair deformation, we propose a method which is based on physical simulation concepts but is simplified to efficiently solve the static shape of hair. On top of the statistical wisp model and the deformation solver, a constraint-based styler is proposed to model artificial features that oppose the natural flow of hair under gravity and hair elasticity, such as a hairpin. Our technique spans a wider range of human hairstyles than previously proposed methods, and the styles generated by this technique are fairly realistic.

A system simulation environment in Matlab/Simulink of RFID is constructed in this paper. Special attention is emphasized on the analog/RF circuit.Negative Effects are concerned in the system model,such as phase noise of the local oscillator,TX-RX coupling,reflection of the environment, AWGN noise,DC offset,I/Q mismatch,etc.Performance of the whole system can be evaluated by changing the coding method,parameters of building blocks,and operation distance.Finally,some simulation results are presented in this paper.

In this project we analyze and design the minimum mean-square error (MMSE) multiuser receiver for uniformly quantized synchronous code division multiple access (CDMA) signals in additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channels.This project is mainly based on the representation of uniform quantizer by gain plus additive noise model. Based on this model, we derive the weight vector and the output signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) of the MMSE receiver. The Effects of quantization on the MMSE receiver performance is characterized in a single parameter named 鈥漞quivalent noise variance鈥? The optimal quantizer stepsize which maximizes the MMSE receiver output SNR is also determined.

G UILLAIN-BARRéSYNDROME(GBS)is an uncommon disorder,but one whose impact is far out of proportion to its incidence.Despite a usually good prognosis,GBS is a particularly frightening and often life- altering experience for those diagnosed with the disorder.Many patients are acutely aware of the rapid loss of control of their muscular function, including vital functions such as breathing and swallowing,and fre- quently feel that they are dying.The experience is almost as unnerving for the families of affected individuals.During the acute phase of the ill- ness GBS patients experience the indignity of helplessness in addition to their fear of death or permanent disability.Prolonged disability is com- mon and some permanent residual Effects are becoming increasingly recognized.It has been our experience in meeting patients at support groups,that individuals who have been affected by GBS have a great desire for a better understanding of the disorder,even years after the acute experience.
