This submission includes the presentation and model files that were used in delivering a webinar on 12-15-05 that covered the topic of modeling Hybrid Electric Vehicles.
Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) have proven they can substantially improve fuel economy and reduce emissions. Because HEVs combine an electric drive with the internal combustion engine (ICE) in the powertrain, the vehicle?s kinetic energy can be captured during braking and transformed into Electrical energy in the battery. The dual power source also means that the ICE can be reduced in size and can operate at its most efficient speeds.

Craig Hollabaugh has been fascinated by electronics since he bought an AM radio in elementary school. He was first exposed to Unix during a cross-country talk session in 1985. Later, he administered networked Sun and DEC workstations while pursuing a doctoral degree in Electrical engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology.

Electromagnetic Finite-Difference Time-Domain (EmFDTD)
is a basic two-dimensional FDTD code developed at the
School of Electrical Engineering, Sharif University of
Technology.
This code has been written based on the standard
Yee s FDTD algorithm. Applications include propagation,
scattering, and diffraction of electromagnetic waves
in homogeneous and non-homogeneous isotropic media
for in-plane propagating waves. Negative permittivites
or permeabilities as well as dispersion is not included.
Zero, Periodic, and Perfectly Matched Layer boundary
conditions may be selectively applied to the solution
domain.
The program is best suited for study of propagation and
diffraction of electromagnetic waves in Photonic Crystal
structures.
EmFDTD is written in MATLAB language and has been
tested under MATLAB 5.0 and higher versions.

Good morning, dear teachers. I am very glad to be here for your interview. my name is xx.I am 21 years old. I come from Dafang, a small town of Guizhou province. My undergraduate period will be accomplished in East China Jiaotong University. I major in Electrical engineering and automation. I am interesting in computer, especially in program design. I am a hard study student, especially in the things which I interesting in. I am a person with great perseverance. During the days I preparing for the postgraduate examination, I insist on study for more than 10 hours every day. Just owing to this, I could pass the first examination finally. I am also a person with great ambition.
With the advances in the semiconductor and communication industries, it has become increasingly
important for Electrical engineers to develop a good understanding of microelectronics.
This book addresses the need for a text that teaches microelectronics from a modern and intuitive
perspective. Guided by my industrial, research, and academic experience, I have chosen
the topics, the order, and the depth and breadth so as to efficiently impart analysis and design
principles that the students will find useful as they enter the industry or graduate school.
