To increase simulation speed, ModelSim® can apply a variety of optimizations to your design. These include, but are not limited to, mergingprocesses, pulling constants out of loops, clock suppression, and signal collapsing. You control the level of optimization by specifying certain switches when you invoke the compiler.
This application report describes the use of Timer_A3 to decode RC5 and SIRC TV IR remote control signals. The decoder described in this report is interrupt-driven and operates a background function using specific features the Timer_A3. Only a small portion of the MSP430 CPU?s nonreal-time resources is used. Specific hardware bit-latching capabilities of the Timer_A3 module are used for real-time decoding of the IR data signal, independent
and asynchronous to the CPU. CPU activity and power consumption are kept to an absolute minimum level. The Timer_A3 decoder implementation also allows other tasks to occur simultaneously if required. The solutions provided are written specifically for MSP430x11x(1) and MSP430x12x derivatives, but can be adapted to any other MSP430 incorporating Timer_A3.

The release of the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (and Visual C++ .NET in particular) has underscored Microsoft’s increasing focus on Internet technologies, which are at the heart of the Microsoft .NET architecture. In addition to supporting the .NET initiative, Visual C++ .NET keeps all the productivity-boosting features you’re familiar with, such as Edit And Continue, IntelliSense, AutoComplete, and code tips. Visual C++ .NET also includes many new features such as managed code extensions for .NET programming, support for attributed code, and a more consistent development environment. These features take Visual C++ .NET to a new level. This book will get you up to speed on the latest technologies introduced into Visual C++.

The 6.0 release of Visual C++ shows Microsoft s continued focus on Internet technologies and COM, which are key components of the new Windows Distributed interNet Application Architecture (DNA). In addition to supporting these platform initiatives, Visual C++ 6.0 also adds an amazing number of productivity-boosting features such as Edit And Continue, IntelliSense, AutoComplete, and code tips. These features take Visual C++ to a new level. We have tried to make sure that this book keeps you up to speed on the latest technologies being introduced into Visual C++.
You know the rudiments of the SQL query language, yet you feel you aren t taking full advantage of SQL s expressive power. You d like to learn how to do more work with SQL inside the database before pushing data across the network to your applications. You d like to take your SQL skills to the next level.
This article describes a sniffer for Windows. WinSniff is an application for capturing packets on the network. It displays all the packets that are transmitted on the local network and gives detailed information about each header in the packet. In order to keep it simple, I am not dealing with application level protocols. If you are interested, you can add features to support various application level protocols such as SMTP, FTP, NETBIOS etc
FIST可堆疊文件系統(tǒng),linux文件系統(tǒng)修改相關(guān)的開源軟件,使得對linux文件系統(tǒng)功能的改進(jìn)很簡單了
The FiST (File System Translator) system combines two methods to solve the above problems in a novel way: a set of stackable file system templates for each operating system, and a high-level language that can describe stackable file systems in a cross-platform portable fashion. Using FiST, stackable file systems need only be described once. FiST s code generation tool, fistgen, compiles a single file system description into loadable kernel modules for several operating systems (currently Solaris, Linux, and FreeBSD). The project demonstrates that with FiST, code size and development time are reduced significantly, while imposing a small performance overhead of only 1-2%. These benefits are achieved, as well as portability, without changing existing operating systems or file system.
