this document describes in details the freeman s chain code algorithm in regards to using for feature extraction in an OCR Application
it also describes all the necessary phases to develop an ocr
If you have ever wanted to store data temporarily in your Delphi Win32/.Net, C++ Builder or Kylix application, and you at the same time wanted full access to the data as if they were stored in a database table, you have the right solution here. kbmMemTable is a full TDataset compatible in memory table loaded with functionality.
This example program is the source code for the FT232BM Test Application from our Utilities page.
It can be used to test the handshaking lines on FT232BM based RS232/RS485/RS422 designs. This program can also be used for programming the external EEPROM over USB in a manufacturing environment. The test features require the test cable shown on ST_232_245.pdf to be connected.
Our D2XX direct drivers should be installed for this application. The code can be modified to fit your requirements.

An important book that cover wavelet domain. It help a lot in understanding wavelets and their applications.
Beside explanations of the transform and application of this, there are also presents the reasons why wavelets are better than Fourier transform.
This application report discusses the design of non-invasive optical plethysmography
also called as pulsoximeter using the MSP430FG437 Microcontroller (MCU). The
pulsoximeter consists of a peripheral probe combined with the MCU displaying the
oxygen saturation and pulse rate on a LCD glass. The same sensor is used for both
heart-rate detection and pulsoximetering in this application. The probe is placed on a
peripheral point of the body such as a finger tip, ear lobe or the nose. The probe
includes two light emitting diodes (LEDs), one in the visible red spectrum (660nm) and
the other in the infrared spectrum (940nm). The percentage of oxygen in the body is
worked by measuring the intensity from each frequency of light after it transmits
through the body and then calculating the ratio between these two intensities.
the book provides many solved examples that illustrate the principles involved,
and includes, in addition, two chapters that deal exclusively with applications of
unconstrained and constrained optimization methods to problems in the areas of
pattern recognition, control systems, robotics, communication systems, and the
design of digital filters. For each application, enough background information
is provided to promote the understanding of the optimization algorithms used
to obtain the desired solutions.

The emphasis of this book is on real-time application of Synopsys tools, used
to combat various problems seen at VDSM geometries. Readers will be
exposed to an effective design methodology for handling complex, submicron
ASIC designs. Significance is placed on HDL coding styles,
synthesis and optimization, dynamic simulation, formal verification, DFT
scan insertion, links to layout, physical synthesis, and static timing analysis.
At each step, problems related to each phase of the design flow are identified,
with solutions and work-around described in detail. In addition, crucial issues
related to layout, which includes clock tree synthesis and back-end
integration (links to layout) are also discussed at length. Furthermore, the
book contains in-depth discussions on the basics of Synopsys technology
libraries and HDL coding styles, targeted towards optimal synthesis solution.
Short description: A MAX-MIN Ant System (MMAS) implemented in the Hyper-Cube Framework for the application to Unconstrained Binary Quadratic Programming (UBQP).
Aim of the software: Educational (not high-performance) it shows how to implement a MMAS in the Hyper-Cube Framework.
AJAX Book Reader is a complete AJAX client-server application that may be used with a Web browser to display a sequence of text files one page at a time. The display style is completely controlled by a configuration file. The first application of this is as a book viewer where each chapter resides in a seperate text file. It is also suitable for any case where it is not practical to show all of the text to be displayed at once in the browser window.
