The LM158 series consists of two independent, high gain,
internally frequency compensated operational amplifiers
which were designed specifically to Operate from a single
power supply over a wide range of voltages. Operation from
split power supplies is also possible and the low power
supply current drain is independent of the magnitude of the
power supply voltage.
This design package includes reference materials for creating a
USB - PS/2 combination mouse that auto-detects the interface and
configures itself to Operate on the appropriate bus.

Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) have proven they can substantially improve fuel economy and reduce emissions. Because HEVs combine an electric drive with the internal combustion engine (ICE) in the powertrain, the vehicle?s kinetic energy can be captured during braking and transformed into electrical energy in the battery. The dual power source also means that the ICE can be reduced in size and can Operate at its most efficient speeds.

The goal of our final project was to design an efficient elevator simulator that can accept input from a user and mechanically Operate (on a small scale) a system of 4 floors and 3 elevators using pulleys and stepper motors. Users enter input using physical pushbuttons or the computer. This input is then processed by the MCU and orders are given to the elevators. We attempted to devise an algorithm that can optimally handle any number of floors. This project seemed like a fun challenge and something that had practical applications. Both of us have been frustrated at times by the inefficiency of some of the elevators here at Cornell, and we wanted to see if we could do a better job.

The Inter IC bus or I2C bus is a simple bidirectional two wire bus designed primarily for general control
and data transfer communication between ICs.
Some of the features of the I2C bus are:
• Two signal lines, a serial data line (SDA) and a serial clock line (SCL), and ground are required. A
12V supply line (500mA max.) for powering the peripherals often may be present.
• Each device connected to the bus is software addressable by a unique address and simple
master/ slave relationships exist at all times masters can Operate as master-transmitters or as
master-receivers.
• The I2C bus is a true multi-master bus including collision detection and arbitration to prevent data
corruption if two or more masters simultaneously initiate data transfer systems.
• Serial, 8-bit oriented, bidirectional data transfers can be made at up to 100 KBit/s in the standard
mode or up to 400 KBit/s in the fast mode.
The ADC0803 family is a series of three CMOS 8-bit successive
approximation A/D converters using a resistive ladder and
capacitive array together with an auto-zero comparator. These
converters are designed to Operate with microprocessor-controlled
buses using a minimum of external circuitry. The 3-State output data
lines can be connected directly to the data bus.
