Abstract: Many modern industrial, medical, and commercial applications require temperature measurements in the extended temperature rangewith accuracies of ±0.3°C or better, performed with reasonable cost and often with low power consumption. This article explains how platinumresistance temperature detectors (PRTDs) can perform measurements over wide temperature ranges of -200°C to +850°C, with absolute accuracyand repeatability better than ±0.3°C, when used with modern processors capable of resolving nonlinear mathematical equation quickly and costeffectively. If uisp does not compile successfully, add switch -DNO_DIRECT_IO in the
Makefile to remove support for direct I/O port access (that may be
necessary on non-PC architectures). Parallel port access should still
work if you have the Linux ppdev driver (patch for 2.2.17 is in the
kernel directory, ppdev is standard in 2.4 kernels). Please lobby
Alan Cox to include this tiny little driver in 2.2.x too :).

A series of .c and .m files which allow one to perform univariate and bivariate wavelet analysis of discrete time series. Noother wavelet package is necessary -- everything is contained in this archive. The C-code computes the DWT and maximal overlap DWT. MATLAB routines are then used to compute such quantities as the wavelet variance, covariance, correlation, cross-covariance and cross-correlation. Approximate confidence intervals are available for all quantities except the cross-covariance and cross-correlation.
