General packet RAdio service (GPRS) is a packet oriented mobile data service available to users of the 2G cellular communication systems global system for mobile communications (GSM), as well as in the 3G systems. In the 2G systems, GPRS provides data rates of 56-114 kbit/s.
With the Wireless module, OPNET can model both
terrestrial and satellite RAdio systems. In this tutorial,
you will use Modeler and Wireless modeling to create a
RAdio network you will also observe variations in the
quality of received signal that results from RAdio noise
at the receiving node in a dynamic network topology.
this is a document about RAdio frequency identification RFID, this was a project ,i have done last year ,actually this technology is a very inpotrtant one due to its relation with newest technologies , like GPS , or the miniturization of integrated circuits ,and that is described in chapter 3 . chapter 1 gives an introduction of the technology RFID , chapter 2 gives a discussion of a library using RFID , and chapter 3 is about the future of RFID , and finally the conclusion .
This book provides the reader with the basics in RAdio engineering,
the techniques needed to generate, control, detect, and use RAdio waves. The
text approaches the relevant problems both from the electromagnetic theory
based on Maxwell抯 equations and from the circuit theory based on Kirchoff
and Ohm抯 laws. Brief introductions to the electromagnetic theory as well
as to the circuit theory are provided. Besides passive transmission lines and
components, active RF circuits are also addressed.
The goal of this thesis is the development of traffic engineering rules for cellular packet
RAdio networks based on GPRS and EDGE. They are based on traffic models for typical
mobile applications. Load generators, representing these traffic models, are developed
and integrated into a simulation environment with the prototypical implementation of
the EGPRS protocols and models for the RAdio channel, which were also developed in
the framework of this thesis. With this simulation tool a comprehensive performance
evaluation is carried out that leads to the traffic engineering rules.
