A paper that I presented on Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) won the second prize at the symposium conducted by the Electrical and Electronics Engineering department of the SRM University. Other topics on which I presented papers were Performance enhancement of wireless sensor networks using directional antennas, Smart card application and wireless communication. Also my Research idea titled “Wavelet Based Image Compression Using SPIHT Algorithm “secured third prize in a technical festival.
In the last decade the processing of polygonal meshes has
emerged as an active and very productive Research area. This
can basically be attributed to two developments:
Modern geometry acquisition devices, like laser scanners
and MRT, easily produce raw polygonal meshes of
ever growing complexity
Downstream applications like analysis tools (medical
imaging), computer aided manufacturing, or numerical
simulations all require high quality polygonal meshes
as input.
The need to bridge the gap between raw triangle soup data
and high-quality polygon meshes has driven the Research on
ecient data structures and algorithms that directly operate
on polygonal meshes rather than on a (most often not
feasible) intermediate CAD representation.
Software-defined radios (SDRs) have been around for more than a decade. The
first complete Global Positioning System (GPS) implementation was described
by Dennis Akos in 1997. Since then several Research groups have presented their
contributions. We therefore find it timely to publish an up-to-date text on the subject
and at the same time include Galileo, the forthcoming European satellitebased
navigation system. Both GPS and Galileo belong to the category of Global
Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS).
Sensing and planning are at the core of robot motion. Traditionally,
mobile robots have been used for performing various tasks
with a general-purpose processor on-board. This book grew out of
our Research enquiry into alternate architectures for sensor-based
robot motion. It describes our Research starting early 2002 with the
objectives of obtaining a time, space and energy-efficient solution
for processing sensor data for various robotic tasks.
New algorithms and architectures have been developed for
exploration and other aspects of robot motion. The Research has
also resulted in design and fabrication of an FPGA-based mobile
robot equipped with ultrasonic sensors. Numerous experiments
with the FPGA-based mobile robot have also been performed and
they confirm the efficacy of the alternate architecture.
Text mining tries to solve the crisis of information overload by combining techniques from data mining, machine learning, natural language processing, information retrieval, and knowledge management. In addition to providing an in-depth examination of core text mining and link detection algorithms and operations, this book examines advanced pre-processing techniques, knowledge representation considerations, and visualization approaches. Finally, it explores current real-world, mission-critical applications of text mining and link detection in such varied fields as M&A business intelligence, genomics Research and counter-terrorism activities.
This volume presents the state of the art concerning quality and interestingness measures for data mining. The book summarizes recent developments and presents original Research on this topic. The chapters include surveys, comparative studies of existing measures, proposals of new measures, simulations, and case studies. Both theoretical and applied chapters are included. Papers for this book were selected and reviewed for correctness and completeness by an international review committee.
This material is not only up-to-date, it defines up-to-date. It is truly cutting-edge. As the only book on the subject, Rootkits will be of interest to any Windows security Researcher or security programmer. It s detailed, well Researched and the technical information is excellent. The level of technical detail, Research, and time invested in developing relevant examples is impressive.
Programming language: Developed in Omnet++.
Comment: The model implements the AntNet routing algorithm proposed in: G. Di Caro and M. Dorigo. AntNet: Distributed Stigmergetic Control for Communications Networks. Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research, 9:317-365, 1998. It reqires OMNeT++ 2.3 or later.
