The Lite Evaluation/Demonstration Kit is intended to illustrate use of the
AN3042. The AN3042 is compliant to the PCI 2.1 Local Bus specification.
Included in the kit is a PCI add-in card, Windows drivers, demonstration
applications, and documentation of the hardware and software provided. The
microprocessor used on the PCI add-in card is the Motorola MPC860. The
applications themselves serve as documentation on how to interface with the
drivers, and also may be used to test the AN3042 on the user s prototype board.
The DiskPerf filter driver monitors disk-accesses, capturing performance data. It supports Plug and Play, Power Management, and WMI . It is not 64-bit compliant
The CD Audio sample allows some non-SCSI2 CD ROMs to support audio operations by intercepting the relevant audio ioctls and translating them into the command block(s) expected by the non-compliant cdroms. It supports Plug and Play and Power Management, and is 64-bit compliant.
The CD ROM driver is used with Classpnp.sys to provide access to CD ROMs and DVD ROMs. It supports Plug and Play, Power Management, and AutoRun (media change notification). It is 64-bit compliant.
The Disk sample is used with Classpnp.sys as disk driver. The sample supports Plug and Play, Power Management, WMI, and failure prediction (S.M.A.R.T.), and it is 64-bit compliant.
This standard describes a keyed-hash message authentication code (HMAC), a
mechanism for message authentication using cryptographic hash functions. HMAC can
be used with any iterative Approved cryptographic hash function, in combination with a
shared secret key. The cryptographic strength of HMAC depends on the properties of the
underlying hash function. The HMAC specification in this standard is a generalization of
Internet RFC 2104, HMAC, Keyed-Hashing for Message Authentication, and ANSI
X9.71, Keyed Hash Message Authentication Code.
This sample provides a generic example of a PCI IDE minidriver. The sample isolates vendor-specific code from the higher-level PCI IDE bus driver, much as SCSI minidrivers isolate code from the SCSI port driver. See the Release Notes section for more information.
This sample works on both x86 and Alpha platforms, and is 64-bit compliant. It builds with Microsoft® Visual C® 6.0. It does not implement Plug and Play or Power Management.
