The sfloppy sample is a super floppy driver that resides in the directory \\Ntddk\Src\Storage\sfloppy. It is a class driver for Super Floppy disk drives. It sits a level above the port driver (ATAPI, USB, etc) in the driver stack, and brokers communication between the application level and the port driver. The floppy driver takes requests from filesystem drivers and then sends the appropriate SCSI_REQUEST_BLOCK (SRB) to the port driver. It is compatible with x86 and IA64 platforms.
The need for accurate monitoring and analysis of sequential data arises in many scientic, industrial
and nancial problems. Although the Kalman lter is effective in the linear-Gaussian
case, new methods of dealing with sequential data are required with non-standard models.
Recently, there has been renewed interest in simulation-based techniques. The basic idea behind
these techniques is that the current state of knowledge is encapsulated in a representative
sample from the appropriate posterior distribution. As time goes on, the sample evolves and
adapts recursively in accordance with newly acquired data. We give a critical review of recent
developments, by reference to oil well monitoring, ion channel monitoring and tracking
problems, and propose some alternative algorithms that avoid the weaknesses of the current
methods.
The equation is written as a system of two first order ODEs. These are evaluated for different values of the parameter Mu. For faster integration, we choose an appropriate solver based on the value of the parameter Mu.
Foreword
The four case studies that follow each have a number of common features. They each illustrate the birth of an idea and show how that idea can be realised into a marketable product. Each case study deals with engineering design and development issues and each highlights the importance of developing sound marketing strategies including market research. The importance of appropriate support mechanisms for young entrepreneurs is also covered. The case studies illustrate how successful entrepreneurs deploy a range of entrepreneurial skills and know-how. Above all, the entrepreneurs are seen to have the capacity to innovate and exercise vision.

In recent years, a large amount of software development activity has migrated from
the client to the server. The client-centric model, in which a client executes complex
programs to visualize and manipulate data, is no longer considered appropriate for the
majority of enterprise applications. The principal reason is deployment—it is a
significant hassle to deploy client programs onto a large number of desktops, and to
redeploy them whenever the application changes. Instead, applications are redesigned
to use a web browser as a "terminal". The application itself resides on the server,
formatting data for the user as web pages and processing the responses that the user fills into web forms.
This document represents the first stage in a process of taking the National Strategy for Police Information Systems (NSPIS) forward. It defines the mechanisms to ensure that we (and our partners) have access to the right information, in the right form, in the right time at an appropriate cost. The Strategy will ensure the Police Service has a collective understanding of the value of information and that we are able to exploit National Information Assets in support of local policing.
