Address book helps you look up your addresses from the system tray.
It is quite useful in that way 慶ause it stays out of the way and is
easily accessible when needed. Double clicking on any URL will start
the default web browser and take you to that URL. Double clicking on
the phone number will dial that number. Every column supports
sorting and can be customized to your needs. Preview will display
the notes associated with each record.

The Staged Event-Driven Architecture (SEDA) is a new design for building scalable Internet services. SEDA has three major goals:
To support massive concurrency, on the order of tens of thousands of clients per node
To exhibit robust performance under wide variations in load and,
To simplify the design of complex Internet services.
SEDA decomposes a complex, event-driven application into a set of stages connected by queues. This design avoids the high overhead associated with thread-based concurrency models, and decouples event and thread scheduling from application logic. SEDA enables services to be well-conditioned to load, preventing resources from being overcommitted when demand exceeds service capacity. Decomposing services into a set of stages also enables modularity and code reuse, as well as the development of debugging tools for complex event-driven applications.

Description:
There is a pile of n wooden sticks. The length and weight of each stick are known in advance. The sticks are to be processed by a woodworking machine in one by one fashion. It needs some time, called setup time, for the machine to prepare processing a stick. The setup times are associated with cleaning operations and changing tools and shapes in the machine. The setup times of the woodworking machine are given as follows:
(a) The setup time for the first wooden stick is 1 minute.
(b) Right after processing a stick of length l and weight w , the machine will need no setup time for a stick of length l and weight w if l<=l and w<=w . Otherwise, it will need 1 minute for setup.

In this paper, we consider the problem of filtering in relational
hidden Markov models. We present a compact representation for
such models and an associated logical particle filtering algorithm. Each
particle contains a logical formula that describes a set of states. The
algorithm updates the formulae as new observations are received. Since
a single particle tracks many states, this filter can be more accurate
than a traditional particle filter in high dimensional state spaces, as we
demonstrate in experiments.
This document is an operation guide for the MPC8XXFADS board. It contains operational, functional
and general information about the FADS. The MPC8XXFADS is meant to serve as a platform for s/
w and h/w development around the MPC8XX family processors. Using its on-board resources and its
associated debugger, a developer is able to download his code, run it, set breakpoints, display
memory and registers and connect his own proprietary h/w via the expansion connectors, to be incorporated
to a desired system with the MPC8XX processor.
This function returns NULL when called for an MDI main frame window (CMDIFrameWnd). In an MDI application, the MDI main frame window does not have a view associated with it. Instead, each individual child window (CMDIChildWnd) has one or more associated views. The active view in an MDI application can be obtained by first finding the active MDI child window and then finding the active view for that child window.

BPMLL is a package for training multi-label BP neural networks. The package includes the MATLAB code of the algorithm BP-MLL, which is designed to deal with multi-label learning. It is in particular useful when a real-world object is associated with multiple labels simultaneously
We propose a technique that allows a person to design a new photograph
with substantially less effort. This paper presents a method that generates a composite image when a user types
in nouns, such as “boat” and “sand.” The artist can optionally design an intended image by specifying other
constraints. Our algorithm formulates the constraints as queries to search an automatically annotated image
database. The desired photograph, not a collage, is then synthesized using graph-cut optimization, optionally
allowing for further user interaction to edit or choose among alternative generated photos. An implementation of
our approach, shown in the associated video, demonstrates our contributions of (1) a method for creating specific
images with minimal human effort, and (2) a combined algorithm for automatically building an image library with
semantic annotations from any photo collection.
