These MATLAB functions were created for the book Digital Image
Processing Using MATLAB (DIPUM), by R.C. Gonzalez, R.E. Woods, and
S.L. Eddins, Prentice Hall, 2004, ISBN 0130085197. The functions
supplement and extend the image processing functionality of MATLAB
and the Image Processing Toolbox, both offered by The MathWorks.
The PMSM FOC is made of several C modules, compatible with the free-of-charge IAR
EWARM KickStart edition toolchain version 4.42. It is used to quickly evaluate both the MCU
and the available tools. In addition, when used together with the STM32F103xx motor
control starter kit (STM3210B-MCKIT) and PM motor, a motor can be made to run in a very
short time. It also eliminates the need for time-consuming development of FOC and speed
regulation algorithms by providing ready-to-use functions that let the user concentrate on
the application layer. Moreover, it is possible to get rid of any speed sensor thanks to the
sensorless algorithm for rotor position reconstruction.

A PLD Based Delta-Sigma DAC
Delta-Sigma modulation is the simple, yet powerful,
technique responsible for the extraordinary
performance and low cost of today s audio CD
players. The simplest Delta-Sigma DAC consists of a
Delta-Sigma modulator and a one bit DAC. Since,
both of these components can be realized using
digital circuits, it is possible to implement a low
precision Delta-Sigma DAC using a PLD.
This sample provides a generic example of a PCI IDE minidriver. The sample isolates vendor-specific code from the higher-level PCI IDE bus driver, much as SCSI minidrivers isolate code from the SCSI port driver. See the Release Notes section for more information.
This sample works on both x86 and Alpha platforms, and is 64-bit compliant. It builds with Microsoft® Visual C® 6.0. It does not implement Plug and Play or Power Management.
The goal of our final project was to design an efficient elevator simulator that can accept input from a user and mechanically operate (on a small scale) a system of 4 floors and 3 elevators using pulleys and stepper motors. Users enter input using physical pushbuttons or the computer. This input is then processed by the MCU and orders are given to the elevators. We attempted to devise an algorithm that can optimally handle any number of floors. This project seemed like a fun challenge and something that had practical applications. both of us have been frustrated at times by the inefficiency of some of the elevators here at Cornell, and we wanted to see if we could do a better job.
In this paper, we present LOADED, an algorithm for outlier
detection in evolving data sets containing both continuous
and categorical attributes. LOADED is a tunable algorithm,
wherein one can trade off computation for accuracy so that
domain-specific response times are achieved. Experimental
results show that LOADED provides very good detection and
false positive rates, which are several times better than those
of existing distance-based schemes.
Digital Signal and Image Processing Using MATLAB
The most important theoretical aspects of image and signal processing (ISP) for both deterministic and random signals are covered in this guide to using MATLAB® . The discussion is also supported by exercises and computer simulations relating to real applications such as speech processing and fetal-heart–rhythm tracking, and more than 200 programs and functions for numerical experiments are provided with commentary.
