Supplemental information for a high-speed serial bus that integrates well with most IEEE standard
32-bit and 64-bit parallel buses is specified. It is intended to extend the usefulness of a low-cost interconnect
between external peripherals, IEEE Std 1394-1995. This standard follows the ISO/IEC 13213:1994 Command
and Status Register (CSR) architecture.
Most satellite dish actuators send a series of pulses to indicate their position. By counting pulses the positioner knows where the dish is pointing. It is possible to use a serial port and Linux with RTAI patches in order to count these pulses, thus minimising the external hardware required for a positioner. The zip contains instructions, circuit diagrams and example code.
The objective of this project is to create a driver for a camera module (we used the OV7620). After taking the image with the camera, the driver will store into the external asynchronous RAM, and then send it to the computer through a serial cable
An Overview of Smart Card Security.
The smart card, an intelligent token, is a credit card sized plastic card embedded with an integrated circuit chip. It provides not only memory capacity, but computational capability as well. The self-containment of smart card makes it resistant to attack as it does not need to depend upon potentially vulnerable external resources. Because of this characteristic, smart cards are often used in different applications which require strong security protection and authentication.
The AP2406 is a 1.5Mhz constant frequency, slope compensated current mode PWM step-down converter. The device integrates a main switch and a synchronous rectifier for high efficiency without an external Schottky diode. It is ideal for powering portable equipment that runs from a single cell lithium-Ion (Li+) battery. The AP2406 can supply 600mA of load current from a 2.5V to 5.5V input voltage. The output voltage can be regulated as low as 0.6V. The AP2406 can also run at 100% duty cycle for low dropout operation, extending battery life in portable system. Idle mode operation at light loads provides very low output ripple voltage for noise sensitive applications.
The AP2406 is offered in a low profile (1mm) 5-pin, thin SOT package, and is available in an adjustable version and fixed output voltage of 1.2V, 1.5V and 1.8V
Introduction
jSMPP is a java implementation (SMPP API) of the SMPP protocol (currently supports SMPP v3.4). It provides interfaces to communicate with a Message Center or an ESME (external Short Message Entity) and is able to handle traffic of 3000-5000 messages per second.
jSMPP is not a high-level library. People looking for a quick way to get started with SMPP may be better of using an abstraction layer such as the Apache Camel SMPP component: http://camel.apache.org/smpp.html

The AZ1117 is a series of low dropout three-terminal regulators with a dropout of 1.15V at 1A output current.
The AZ1117 series provides current limiting and thermal shutdown. Its circuit includes a trimmed bandgap reference to assure output voltage accuracy to be within 1% for 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 2.85V, 3.3V, 5.0V and adjustable versions or 2% for 1.2V version. Current limit is trimmed to ensure specified output current and controlled short-circuit current. On-chip thermal shutdown provides protection against any combination of overload and ambient temperature that would create excessive junction temperature.
The AZ1117 has an adjustable version, that can provide the output voltage from 1.25V to 12V with only 2 external resistors.
The General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) allows an end user to send and
receive data in packet transfer mode within a public land mobile network
(PLMN) without using a permanent connection between the mobile station
(MS) and the external network during data transfer. This way, GPRS opti-
mizes the use of network and radio resources (RRs) since, unlike circuit-
switched mode, no connection between the MS and the external network is
established when there is no data flow in progress. Thus, this RR optimiza-
tion makes it possible for the operator to offer more attractive fees.
